FIX IT. NOW.

April 29th, 2010

Who saw Tyler’s movie, “Why Did I Get Married, Too?” There was a scene where everyone was at the hospital and Janet’s character, Patricia breaks out and tells all of the couples to, “Fix it. Now!” I love that scene. Though I wish the scene could have lasted a bit longer, I still received the intent of that moment. I still felt the passion behind her statement. Sister was telling them that life is too short to hold on to grudges. We have to learn to get over ourselves, love unconditionally, forgive and move on.

Some of you may say, that’s easier said than done. Oh, trust me. I know that not everyone that you are trying to make peace with is receiving you with open arms. There are just some people who are not going to make it easy for you nor are they going to receive you no matter how hard you try. So how do you fix it? You first FIX IT WITHIN. Get your heart right and the rest the Lord shall set in order. Repent. Ask for forgiveness. Harbor no ill feelings. Bless and pray for those who curse, hate, persecute and despitefully use you – and watch God move. Amen? AMEN.

I pray above all things you and yours are doing just magnificent. Me? I’m determined to continue seeking His face and doing His will. The cast and I are busy wrapping up the last of our rehearsals and looking forward to presenting a fresh, remix of THE ME NOBODY KNOWS on Saturday, June 12th @ 3:00 p.m. I’m really looking forward to seeing your face and hugging your neck.

Hey, I got an announcement to make. Some of you have been on this e-list long enough to remember when I use to publish an e-zine entitled SISTATIME back in 2006. Remember that? Anyway, it was an information newsletter that I sent with events and outings. Well, since I have reached the autumn of my life, I’ve been doing more reflecting than ever. I’m determined that each day I live from here on out will be worthy and pleasing unto Him. I want all that I do to be significant and make a difference. So to make a long story short (cause you know I can go on and on) I’m bringing back SISTATIME – but this time it will be face to face. Here’s why.

I’m noticing that with all of the new technology (cell phones, texting, Twitter, Facebook) we’re not connecting in person anymore. We’ve made texting, tweeting and Skyping our preferred method of contact? Say it ain’t so! These forms of communication are great for keeping in touch and networking, but please remember we are human beings. We need to see, touch, and smell one another so that we are reminded that we are yet alive and have not turned into an electronic device :)

But in all seriousness. There’s a sista somewhere just waiting for the invite or opportunity to bond with other sisters. SISTATIME has been created for those sistergirls/ladies/women who are ready to live a little. Whether you are in the spring, summer, autumn or winter of your life, it’s always good to gather a group of girlfriends who don’t mind getting out, laughing because its silly, catching a movie, sharing, eating until you’re full and then inhaling and exhaling. SISTATIME is for girlfriends everywhere who just like to get together and enjoy God’s blessings of life, health and strength. If you’re interested in joining other sisters for trips and get togethers or whether you are just seeking ideas for your own sisterfriend outings, send an email to soulmissions@aol.com with the subject SISTATIME and I’ll be sure to add you to the e- list. SISTATIME is also a group on Facebook for my Facebook Family.

Lastly, we’re adding autumn dates for the presentation of “The ME” so if you know of a praise dance group who would be interested in rendering their gift and traveling the DMV with us, please send me an email of interest to soulmissions@aol.com.

Ok. I’ve kept you long enough. Go enjoy this beautful day and remember that God is able to do exceeding and abundantly – JUST BELIEVE.

BIG LOVE,

Sheritha
