Can God Get Any Gooder?

June 16th, 2010

Alright, I know gooder isn’t a word. But our God leaves me at a loss for words. For those of you who were able to witness the mighty move of God this past Saturday, I believe you will agree that God moved wondrously through the production. I am in awe.

The cast and I THANK YOU from the center of our hearts for sharing in our premiere season roll out of The ME Nobody Knows (The Remix!). We had a grand time and from the outpouring of smiles, hugs and comments we received from you, I believe you had an even greater time. I am humbled by the way God orchestrated it all so beautifully from the anointed praise dancers to the music to each and every word that was uttered – we made God’s praise glorious. And trust and believe, we had fun, too. They tell me that not even Tyra Banks has anything on First Lady’s catwalk! Ha! But in all seriousness, I must say God did His thing.

So the question is, when will we do it again. We’re gearing up to resume the tour in the autumn. For those of you who couldn’t make it this time and for those who said you’re ready to come back with your family and girlfriends, please check the website for new dates. Additionally, if you are interested in having The ME Nobody Knows presented at your church or upcoming event, please visit the website, click on the Contact tab and complete the Booking Request Form in its entirety. We’d be happy to come out and share.

HEY! If you did make it out, please do share your thoughts about the play. We’d love to hear your heart!

FIX IT. NOW.

April 29th, 2010

Who saw Tyler’s movie, “Why Did I Get Married, Too?” There was a scene where everyone was at the hospital and Janet’s character, Patricia breaks out and tells all of the couples to, “Fix it. Now!” I love that scene. Though I wish the scene could have lasted a bit longer, I still received the intent of that moment. I still felt the passion behind her statement. Sister was telling them that life is too short to hold on to grudges. We have to learn to get over ourselves, love unconditionally, forgive and move on.

Some of you may say, that’s easier said than done. Oh, trust me. I know that not everyone that you are trying to make peace with is receiving you with open arms. There are just some people who are not going to make it easy for you nor are they going to receive you no matter how hard you try. So how do you fix it? You first FIX IT WITHIN. Get your heart right and the rest the Lord shall set in order. Repent. Ask for forgiveness. Harbor no ill feelings. Bless and pray for those who curse, hate, persecute and despitefully use you – and watch God move. Amen? AMEN.

Know this:

March 3rd, 2010

It’s not about how you feel, it’s not about what they say. Nobody has to see it or believe it in order for it to be so. Oftentimes, nobody else can see what God has revealed to you until it has been made manifest in the physical. That is why it is so important to stay with and endure a thing until the end. No matter what it is, you have the strength and power to overcome, conquer and rise! Don’t give up. Don’t lose heart. Amen? Amen!

How are you? Fabulous I pray. Sooo much is happening all around us. In spite of it all, I choose to anchor my faith and trust in the Lord, how about you? Surely He’s the only true and certain hope we have.

How Much of Ourselves Do We Give?

January 20th, 2010

HOW MUCH OF OURSELVES DO WE GIVE AND COMPROMISE FOR THE ONES WE LOVE? That’s one of the issues raised in my new novella, LIFE AFTER SUNDAY. Meet Marcus and Tyanne Miller. Marcus, a street hustler and night club owner and Tyanne, a minister of music and aspiring jazz vocalist, love each other madly. But what happens when their love for one another is challenged? Where will they run to when the unforeseen situations of life cause them to question everything they thought they knew?

LIFE AFTER SUNDAY is an uninhibited and entertaining account of how one couple deals with the bumps and curves of life when one walks in the things of God and the other does not. Can two walk together except they be agreed?

Visit www.bbotw.com and purchase your copy of LIFE AFTER SUNDAY today!

I look forward to meeting you at one of my upcoming booksignings or discussions.

BIG LOVE,

Sheritha
